Vegetable and Fruit Promotion Council Keralam (VFPCK)

Vegetable and Fruit Promotion Council Keralam (VFPCK) is a company registered under section 25 of Indian Companies Act 1956 and has been established aiming to bring about overall development of fruit and vegetable sector in Kerala. Established in 2001 as the successor organization of Kerala Horticulture Development Programme (KHDP), VFPCK is a company with majority stake of farmers and has the Government and financial institutions as the other major shareholders. VFPCK is managed by a result oriented multidisciplinary team of professionals.

Seeds Processing Plant

Vegetable seeds of 19 different types of High Yielding Crops suitable to the Agro Climatic conditions of the State are produced by 104 trained Seed Growers under the technical guidance of the Seed Technologist. This is a shining example of how Public - Private Participatory (P.P.P) models can attain excellent results.

Krishi Business Kendra

VFPCK , dominates seeds production in the State, will now produce and supply seedlings to farmers. In addition to the seeds and seedlings, Grow bags and Manures for homestead garden are available for sale at VFPCK Krishi Business Kendra, Kakkanad. The grow bags have been another key attraction for the urban population.
